Psychiatric Assessments
Psychiatric assessments at Community Mental Health Clinic are in-depth, conversation-based visits designed to truly understand your mental health needs. As a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, I carefully review your symptoms, medical history, past treatments, family background, and major life events that may be impacting how you feel.
We talk about mood swings, persistent sadness, racing thoughts, panic, attention difficulties, irritability, or any other concerns you want to explore. You are encouraged to ask questions as we go. This is not a rushed checklist; it is a chance to connect the dots between what you are experiencing and possible conditions such as anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, or mood disorders.
When we finish, you receive a clear explanation of my impressions and a plan for where to go from here. That plan may involve counseling, medication management, further evaluation, or supportive strategies you can start using right away. The focus is accuracy, respect, and helping you feel understood-not just giving you a diagnosis.
